Paul Coomey was born in Cork, where his mother taught him to read in 1982. When he was small, his favourite books to borrow from the library were Asterix comics. He wrote his first stories at Kilmurry National School and now he loves to visit schools everywhere and work with children to create heroes and villains and all sorts of other fun stuff. When he isn’t writing stories and drawing pictures, Paul works as an Art Director in Children’s Publishing. He lives in London and in his spare time his favourite things to do are read comics and go to the sea. Stickboy is Paul’s first book.
