Kim Sharkey is an award-winning illustrator who received the Children’s Books Ireland Eilís Dillon Award for her first children’s book, Mór agus Muilc. A multi-media artist, Kim lives and works by the sea on the west coast of Ireland in Co Donegal, with her husband Jimmy, dog Rosie, two cats and three goats.

Kim’s art draws inspiration from the abundance of native wildlife near her home and from the wonder-filled tales of folklore that she has loved since she was a little girl.
