Celebrating Irish Children’s Books | Online School and Family Book Festival. This year we are part of the Dublin Book Festival.

Eve McDonnell

Eve is a writer and artist living in the hills of County Wexford and has worked in graphic design, brand development and marketing. Having recognised the similarities between a blank canvas and a blank page, Eve’s writing career kicked off following a visit to a fortune-teller who told her to Write! Write! Write!

Eve’s historical fantasy novel Elsetime (for age 9+) was published in 2020 and was inspired by a real-life tragic event: The Great Flood of London in 1928. It has won much acclaim from reviewers and young readers alike. Eve teaches creative writing with Sarah Webb’s Writing Clubs and loves sharing what she has learned about writing and getting published with new writers.
