Erika McGann is an award-winning children’s author based in Dublin. She writes for all ages and has a wide range of books available, from picture books such as Where Are You, Puffling? with Gerry Daly, to novels such as The Demon Notebook for older readers. Erika has done author visits, storytelling sessions and creative writing workshops in schools and libraries all over the country, for festivals, residencies and as part of Poetry Ireland’s Writers in Schools scheme. Her latest books are The Strange Tale of Barnabus Kwerk and Tabitha Plimtock and the Edge of the World, both with illustrations by Phillip Cullen. Debbie Thomas trained as a BBC radio journalist. She lived in Bangladesh and South Africa for ten years where she worked for aid agencies. She now lives in County Kildare with her husband and three daughters and has written four books for children: the Abbie Hartley trilogy and Class Act. She is the Writer in Residence at Crumlin Children’s Hospital and a board member of the Irish section of IBBY (the International Board on Books for Young People). She is an experienced creative writing workshop leader and greatly enjoys helping children to write great stories.
