Celebrating Irish Children’s Books | Online School and Family Book Festival. This year we are part of the Dublin Book Festival.

No Ordinary Joe

All sorts of labels are put on my brother
but that doesn’t mean he’s any one thing.
At the end of the day, they’re just words.
A pile of letters pooled together.

Joe loves chips and music and ice cream and running away. He doesn’t know he’s running away – he’s just running.

Life with Joe is hilarious, but it’s hard work. You have to remember to lock the windows, hide the sugar, shut the gate. But somehow, Joe always ends up with jam in his hair or missing one of his shoes.

But this is no ordinary Joe. He has a superpower. The power to make everyone love him.

And my favourite #picturebook this year is the amazing #BeWildLittleOne by Irish author @Hopewrites and illuminated by the marvellous art of @DanielEgneus. It's a definite #IrishBooks recommendation for #BookElves2022. A perfect gift for little readers - and not-so-little ones! https://t.co/1zjERJ3FRO
